Great restful boutique hotel right at the old bazaar. The square Is a charming place great for late night chats and the breakfast. Lower rooms are larger but lack the privacy of the top floor rooms despite them being smaller. Rooms are quite rustic but would do with more comfortable appointments like side lamps. The breakfast is vast with great local Antakya delicacies. The hotel has no parking but the management helps with parking the cars and fetches them whenever guests are ready to go. It's quite close to great eateries and the Expo center. A great place to stay if you want to be within the old town and bazaar area.

We stayed 3 nights in the Avula Hotel during our visit to Antakya in mid November. The hotel is a converted mansion from the Ottoman period and is really a step back in time. You enter through the old covered bazaar which gives an amzing feeling of time travel. The receptionist and staff are ultra friendly which is to be expected in Antakya. The whole complex is renovated to its true form. Our room number 206 was a little tight but had all the modern convenience and flair of an old building. The breakfast is amazing with local olives and breads and jams. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed with my family only for a night but the environment, service, food and everything else was 10/10. I very much enjoyed this experience and it being central was very helpful as everything was in walking distance. I would stay again and recommend to all.

Good location; Easy to get to the historical places and to the bus line/road to museums. Peaceful, nice courtyard, nice architecture, and the rooms were clean and well-designed. The staff was very helpful and courteous. To add to that, the breakfast was delicious (as is all food in Hatay).
